About Kami, the composer
Kami is the wife and mother of five beautiful children... no you didn't read that wrong. Her husband is just a teenage boy in a man's body. Kami has been composing music practically since she popped out of the womb, and most likely long before. For Kami, life is easier if she can write songs about it. From love songs to silly inappropriate songs for her children, it all brings her joy; however, the most joy has come from her discovery of sacred music. Yes, she's always sung it, but it wasn't until she was 34 that she realized she had a gift for composing and arranging it. Without formal training in music theory, she just writes what she hears in her head... or heart... whichever channel is open at the moment. Does she break all kinds of music rules? Yes. Her father tells her often. But every world needs a sacred music rebel!

Kami's family enjoys the Texas farm life with six sheep, three dogs, some unwanted snakes, an unknown amount of chickens as they're constantly getting eaten by whatever is lurking in the woods, and about 500,000 bees. In the words of Nacho Libre, "It's thee beeeeest!"
About Kami, the writer
Everyone loves a story.
When Kami was young, her father and brother used to tell her stories at bedtime. Usually her father would tell ones already written, but her brother would make up grand fairytales of knights saving maidens who had been kidnapped by dragons, or potato farmers who lived in the trees, or exploding sheep. These fond moments instilled in her a love for stories. And, though she didn't start her professional career until recently, she has been writing stories her whole life. In fact, she started a tradition years ago where she writes a book for her children every Christmas with them as the characters. Her children have been knights, rangers, pirates and mermaids. That is what we all are looking for--a story to carry us away out of this world of woes and inadequacies, and into a world where we can ride a dragon, fall in love with Mr. Darcy, and get a visit from the Leg Fairy (book forthcoming - I know you're all intrigued). So, join Kami in escaping this drab universe and entering a new one crafted by the power of her quill!
